Helping Children Deal with Loss Educational Workshop: San Francisco
This is an educational program aimed primarily at parents and other guardians of young children. It uses When Children Grieve as the text to guide adults in learning how to help children deal with losses of all kinds. It is also extemely helpful for teachers, coaches, clergy & others who inreract with children on a regular basis.
This five-week program is modeled on the successful format of the Grief
Recovery® Outreach Program and is conducted in association with The Grief Recovery Institute. The purpose of the Educational Study Group is to teach you how to guide your children in completing their relationship to the pain, isolation, and lonliness caused by significant emotional loss of any kind. It provides a safe environment for participants to explore & examine the ideas they have been using to deal with their children's reactions to loss as well as their own. This program is not an occasional drop-in group. For the safety & success of all participants commitment & attendance are essential.
The fee for this five-week Workshop is *$150 including the book "When Children Grieve" & all related materials.
